AN ELDERLY woman was seriously injured in a two-car crash in Burgess Hill.
The accident happened at around 6.45pm on Saturday when a Vauxhall Corsa collided with a Ford Fiesta in Junction Road, near to the junction with Inholmes Park Road.
The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, a 75-year-old woman from Burgess Hill, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital suffering from serious injuries and later taken to Hurstwood Park where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
The driver, a 21-year-old woman from Burgess Hill, and the 20-year-old passenger of the Ford Fiesta were taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath where they were discharged shortly afterwards.
Police are keen to trace a man who may have witnessed the collision and spoke to the driver of one of the vehicles shortly afterwards, or any other witnesses to the collision.
