A TEENAGE girl has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a caravan was set ablaze in Crawley.
The fire was started in the early hours of Sunday morning at a caravan outside a house in Lambourne Close.
Fire crews attended the scene and put out the flames. No-one was injured as a result of the incident.
At 5.15am on the same day officers arrested an 18-year-old local woman on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and making a threat to damage or destroy property.
She has been released on bail until 31/3 pending further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Dave Morton of West Sussex CID said: "The fire caused serious damage to the caravan and luckily there was no-one inside at the time.
"I would like to appeal for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the fire, or anyone with information which may assist police with enquiries, to make contact."
