Night raiders rip cash machine from wall in Holtye

Brazen thieves ripped a cash machine from a wall and dragged it along the street.

The raid happened in the village of Holtye near East Grinstead, early this morning.

Three men are believed to have used rope attached to a black VW Golf to pull the ATM from the wall of the White Horse Inn at around 2.40am and pull it down the road.

DI Rob Morland said: "We are liaising with nearby police forces in this investigation as well as conducting forensic tests and viewing CCTV available to us. If you saw this car in the area before the theft or were woken by the commotion and can give details please call us."

Officers will be in the village to speak to residents should they have any concerns. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Where is Holtye? Sussex? UK?
Who is DI Rob Morland? A cop? If so which force, and which division. Nearest Police station, town would be informative.

What makes you think that they should have a basic understanding of 'the job'? Do you have a basic understanding of heart surgery, for example, or avionics? 'The job', what job would that be then??????constable.

"Liaising?" DI Morland--whatever and wherever your department--since when did "liaison" become a verb? I think the word for which you are searching is "co-operating."
