Albion bosses are calling on fans to show their true colours for the FA Cup clash against Liverpool.
The club wants players to be greeted with a sea of blue and white when the teams take to the Anfield turf for the crunch tie on Sunday, February 19.
Fans were worried the Seagulls would be playing in their away strip of black and green. But a club source confirmed Albion will play in their traditional blue and white colours.
An Albion spokesman said: “We want to turn Anfield into a Seagulls nest so we want everyone who comes to support the lads to be wearing blue and white.
“It will be fantastic for the manager and the boys to see the club colours when they step out onto the pitch.
“Gus said one of the highlights of his Albion career was at Villa Park where over 6,000 fans transformed the away end.”

More than 40 coaches are expected to take the trip up from Sussex to Anfield for the game as a swarm of Seagulls fans descends on Liverpool.
Thousands of others are travelling up in cars and minibuses.
Trains returning from Merseyside in the evening are already close to full capacity.
Some coaches have spaces on the northward journeys as fans travel to the game by rail but return by bus.
Liz Costa, the vice-chairman of the Albion Supporters’ Club, said her members would find any way to reach Liverpool for the mouth-watering match.
She said: “It’s going to be amazing. There will be thousands of fans, all singing their hearts out for the Seagulls.
“It’s a long time since we’ve been to Anfield and there’s no danger of us turning up in anything other than the club colours.”
Mike Costello, the chairman of the Mid Sussex Seagulls, said the prospect of an FA Cup giant-killing had “really caught the imagination”.
He said: “We will certainly be resplendent in blue and white.
“I quite like the black and green away kit actually but the home kit is a bit special.”
Saturday's Argus will have a numper FA Cup edition ahead of Sunday's big match.
