A man was hit with a lump of wood during a mugging.
At about 11pm on Friday a woman approached a man in Ship Street, Brighton, and demanded his mobile phone before hitting him with a lump of wood causing cuts and bruises. The suspect was said to be with two other people.
The incident is being linked to an incident outside NatWest bank in Western Road at 12.15am where a man was robbed at the cashpoint by a man and two women.
The man is described as white, 5ft 3ins, about 22 and wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black and grey bomber-style jacket. One of the women was 5ft 3ins, about 17, with long blonde hair and dressed all in black. The other was around 6ft with dark brown hair and wearing white jeans and a burgundy hooded top with a khaki green jacket over it.
