Brighton Fringe has opened its first ever on-street box office in North Street.

Previously the Fringe has conducted all ticket sales online and over the phone, but the new box office will provide a physical base for the arts event.

The former Past Times shop will also act as a hub for performers and audiences.

Julian Caddy, the managing director of Brighton Fringe, left, said: “Given the size and status of Brighton Fringe in the UK arts calendar, an on-street box office and hub is well overdue and it’s such good news that we have also found so central a location to offer this vital service.”

The box office will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and weekends and bank holidays from 12pm to 4pm.

It will also be open from 10am to 8pm throughout the festival. Additionally you can get tickets by calling 01273 917272 or by booking online at www.brightonfringe.org.
