Lamby has been her best friend for as long as she can remember.

But now Ella Swift is lost without her favourite cuddly toy.

Ella, ten, left Lamby in a taxi last month and has missed him terribly ever since.

She is appealing for readers of The Argus to keep their eyes peeled for him.

The pupil from St Luke’s Primary School in Brighton, said: “I love Lamby. He is very soft and loveable.”

Her mother Karen Vinnall, of Freshfield Road, Brighton, explained that she was with Ella in the back of a taxi travelling to their home on Sunday, March 11, when Lamby went missing.

She said: “Ella said she put the lamb on the floor and then completely forgot about him.

“We’ve called cab companies and the police and asked about lost property. She is really upset. She loves Lamby.

“She is missing him every night. He went everywhere with her.”

Lamby is described as white, small and a little bit threadbare. His nose is peeling off.
