Traffic was stopped temporarily after an accident on The Drove this lunchtime.
The air ambulance landed just off the A27 on Brighton.
The crash took place just off the A27 sliproad, southbound, shortly before noon today.
A car crashed into a lamppost. Two people were taken to hospital - one was airlifted.
A section of the road was cordoned off following the crash but was subsequently reopened.
