JLS promise fans a spectacular performance in Hove

Top boyband JLS have pledged to put on a spectacular show at the home of Sussex cricket.

Speaking exclusively to The Argus, JLS star Marvin Humes said the lads are looking forward to following in the footsteps of Sir Elton John at the PROBIZ County Cricket Ground in Eaton Road, Hove.

He said: “The fact that Sir Elton played at the ground proves what a great venue it is and it’s a real honour for us to play there.

“The outdoor shows always have a special atmosphere and I’m sure we’ll put on a spectacular show.

“We have played the Brighton Centre many times with the X Factor tour so we know what a great place Brighton and Hove is – we’re looking forward to coming back and headlining our own show.”

Marvin revealed he will be a married man by the time of the concert on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27.

The singer recently popped the question to girlfriend Rochelle Wiseman of The Saturdays with a £45,500 heart-shaped, diamond encrusted ring on holiday in Antigua.

Asked if they planned to get married at the bandstand in Brighton, Marvin laughed and joked: “We’ll think about it. But the wedding is definitely before the bank holiday show.”

The Argus and Heart FM will be running competitions for free tickets in the run-up to what is sure to be a sell-out concert.

Details of special hospitality packages will be announced in The Argus in the coming weeks.
