  • "i totaly agree with the people that stick up for whitehawk,i was born at the bottom of edward street and was brought up in the so called slums.so we then thought of whitehawk as the better area to live in,.i have many friends who still live there and would not change.as for the person who has been arrested for this offence he is only one in a thousand ,which area hasnt got one??so give it a rest and get on with your own life and thank your lucky stars that they dont live next door!!"

Explosives and replica firearms found in Brighton home

Replica firearms and explosives have been found at an address in Brighton.

The ammunition - including petrol bombs - and replica weapons were discovered at an address in Whitehawk Crescent, Whitehawk, on Wednesday afternoon.

This morning the house was cordoned off.

Police scenes of crimes officers carried out forensic searches. A man, 31, has been arrested on suspicion of possession of explosives with intent to cause criminal damage. He has been detained under the mental health act, following an assessment this morning.
