More than likely its the soap dodging anarchists that chucked the bottle - don't they know they could get 5p back on that bottle, that could have kept them in soap for one day.

Anyone left or right that believes its acceptable to throw bottles at others fills me with disgust. I hope the police make an example of them.

Here, here. The law should be upheld. There was no need for this.

I thought only peaceful protest was legal and this wasn't peaceful. Every protest we have in Brighton seems to end up like this. Why are they allowed to take place? Surely they're all illegal??

If you saw it happen, you saw who threw the bottle. Not giving a description of the thrower could be considered withholding information pertinent to a police enquiry.

Are you still saying you saw the bottle thrown and by whom?

I hope the bottle thrower has the decency to stand up and be counted.

Small hope I know but ... it springs eternal.

Are there any sane people left in Brighton?
Sort yourselves out.

I think it's fairly clear where bottles are coming from on this video. From the EDL - lots of them!

I love that humour!

Seriously, nobody has taken the other side. OK, a Police Officer was attacked. Why? After all, Sussex Police are well known for kicking people when they are down. And handcuffed. And restrained by two further Police Officers.

And yet I very rarely see stories here about them doing good deeds. Yet they have every opportunity to do so, don't they?

Anyone wants to correct me or complain, just show me links to a few.

For what it's worth, the Police persuaded my unpleasant neighbours to pay for my car window that their son had deliberately smashed. They didn't have to intervene but they got justice for me.
