Woman found on Seaford beach named

A woman whose body was found on a Sussex beach has been named.

She was Sandra Berry, 55, of Marlborough Road, Rye.

Miss Berry’s body was discovered on the beach near Chyngton Way, Seaford, at around 9.40am on Friday, May 25.

Her death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Although a number of Miss Berry's friends have been located, so far we have been unable to find any of her relatives.”

Anyone who knew Miss Berry and may be able to assist us, or any relatives, are asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 438 of 25/5.
