These three black kittens are in urgent need of a new home.

The trio are being cared for by staff at the RSPCA animal rescue centre in Patcham.

They are ready to be rehomed but the charity is struggling to find them a place.

Cheryl Wood of the RSPCA said: “They are lovely kittens but unfortunately people tend to walk past them because they don’t want a black kitten.

“It is the same with cats as well. It is just not a popular colour. We will often get people coming in saying they want to get a kitten but don’t want a black one.

“Tabby, or ginger or tortoiseshell are fine but these little ones get overlooked.

“It is difficult to understand but a great shame.”

The centre is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30am to 4pm.
