Hastings man attacked on the way home from wedding

A MAN was beaten and robbed on his way home from a wedding.

The attack happened in Cambridge Road, Hastings, in the early hours of Sunday June 10.

The victim had been in Yates Wine Lodge in Robertson Street celebrating the wedding of a friend, leaving around closing time at 3am.

On his way home he was accosted by a group of three men in the bus stop opposite ESK and hit around the face before being threatened with a knife.

He handed over his mobile phone before looking for help to raise the alarm.

Two of the men involved have been described as white, in their 20s, between 5' 8" to 5' 10"; one was stockier than the other.

The third is described as black, also in his 20s, but shorter at about 5' 8" and of stocky build. He wore a baseball cap.

All three wore dark clothing.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and either witnessed the incident or have any information regarding the men involved. Please call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 256 of 10/06.

is it just me or does every mugging involve a black guy? what are the odds of that given how small a percentage they are of the population?
