Two teenagers were involved in a tense five-hour stand-off with armed officers following a domestic dispute.

The two men refused to hand themselves over to police and instead hid in bedrooms and then on top of a porch roof of a house in Colbourne Avenue, Brighton today.

The pair were eventually led away at just after midday after they were talked down by officers.

Police had been called to the property after neighbours heard shouting and screaming as the two men argued with two women of similar age in the front lawn of the property from around 7am this morning.

Dozens of officers including specialist armed, dog and riot teams attended the incident which saw the residential road closed for hours.
