A night to remember for hospice
About 1,000 women braved blustery winds and rain showers for the St Barnabas House Hos pice Night to Remember walk.
The annual event in aid of the Worthing-based hospice has raised more than £500,000 since it began in 2008.
The 13.1 mile route started and finished at Wor thing Leisure Centre with walkers setting off at mid night on Saturday.
Organisers hope to have raised £112,000 from this year’s event.
Many taking part were walking in memory of a loved one and others were decked out in pink Night to Remember T-shirts, with pink wigs, flashing bunny ears, cowboy hats and tutus.
Event organiser Joanna Carden said: “We would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to all the wonder ful ladies for turning out on such a windy night and rais ing so much money for St Barnabas.”
