A ten-year-old diabolo master from Brighton has made it to the final of a national talent competition.
Oscar Dudley is up for a Golden Skillie in the Best Trick category of Nickelodeon’s Fruit Shoot Skills Award, after his diabolo videos were found on YouTube by the competition organisers.
Patcham Junior School pupil Oscar said: “I’m feeling really excited but overwhelmed at the fact they found me on YouTube.”
Oscar first tried the juggling instrument three years ago after receiving one as a present. He has since made it to the finals of a competition at the British Juggling Convention in Southend in April, and auditioned for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent.
The awards ceremony will be held in Birmingham on July 21 where Oscar will be showing off his skills live on stage.
Oscar said: “It would mean the world to me to win.”
