Regarding Emma Black’s letter (The Argus, June 21) stating how enjoyable it was taking part in last year’s Naked Bike Ride through Brighton, and that it was in keeping with Brighton’s “wacky ways”, I have to say the previous letter writer, Trevor Alford (June 15), was correct in remarking it is unseemly, especially when there are children watching.
I was born in Brighton, as was my family.
I would say to Emma Black that Brighton was a clean, attractive and exclusively sought-after holiday resort.
It is the late-comers of the past few decades who have changed the face of Brighton with their anything-goes, “wacky ways” – that’s how they want Brighton to be.
