There will also be a fully licensed refreshment area.

Geoffrey Bowden, the chairman of Brighton and Hove City Council’s culture committee, said: “This will be a brilliant addition to our seafront attractions and should be a boost to trade in the area.

Great. The big screen can hopefully act like a beacon to bring together all those poor unfortunates still wandering around down there waving union flags shouting 'ooo yay woo the queen'. All very sad really.

I hope a subsidised 'snakebite and black' stand can be set up to make sure they don't become dissallusioned if we fall behind in the Dressage events.

Message for Geoffrey Bowden, I have a TV at home, drink and the remote so I don't have a need to go into Brighton and pay to watch it or have my head kicked in either. It should of been placed in Stammer Park imo, then I might of gone to see it.

Stay at home then Dave. Sit on your own sipping your bitter in your slippers rather than enjoy it in the company of others in the sun. Are you really that scared of society. Wouldnt work at stanmer park. How many people would make the effort to go all the way out there? This is a great idea and yet another attraction for our fantastic town.

I wondered how people would manage to be negative about such a nice beachfront event, and sure enough the usual list of moaners managed to find something miserable about it. How sad.
Oh, and Dave, it's "should HAVE" and "might HAVE". Perhaps use some of that extensive home time to read a book?
