Skip set alight outside Saltdean home

A skip was set alight on the driveway of a home.

Firefighters from Roedean Fire Station were called to the blaze at the front of a home in Longridge Avenue in Saltdean at just before 00.45am this morning.

Crews spent around three quarters of an hour dousing the flames with water and managed to contain any damage to the skip.

It toook "crews" 45 minutes to extinguish a single skip? What did they do, try and blow it out like a candles on a birthday cake? The headline for this one should be "Roedean Firefighters in Brazen Overtime Scam"
