Firefighters fight flooding in Selsey

Firefighters had to salvage five parked cars after they became enveloped by flood water.

A crew from Selsey Fire Station attended the flooding incident in Coppice Lane, Selsey at around 3.15am this morning.

Crew removed the excess water using their main pump and no homes were affected.

Heavy rain showers are predicted for most of the country over the next few days although there are currently no flood alerts issued by the Environment Agency for Sussex.
