£2k worth of jewellery taken from Bexhill bungalow

Police are hunting burglars who made off with £2,000 worth of gold and silver jewellery.

The incident happened at a bungalow in Crofton Park Avenue, Bexhill, between June 27 and July 8.

A brown leather jewellery case was taken which included gold and silver pieces worth around £2,000.

It is thought that burglars got into the property through an insecure back door.

PC Elise Beckham said; "We would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in that area between those dates.

“Please contact us via 101 quoting serial 0215 of 9/7, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 1111.

“We also remind residents to be vigilant and keep their properties secured including back doors."
