Missing Hove receptionist found safe and well, Brighton man arrested
A missing receptionist has been found safe and well.
Laura Chapman had not been seen at her home in Westbourne Gardens since Tuesday, July 10 when she left to go to work at a hair and beauty salon in Hove, but did not show up.
Police confirmed the 26-year-old was found by officers, safe and walking near Eastbourne at 7pm yesterday.
A 41-year old Brighton man, who was with her when she was found, has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage at a house in Eastbourne.
He is in custody for interview and further enquiries.
Laura was treated at hospital for superficial injuries but was discharged on yesterday evening.
Detective Inspector Mick Jones from Brighton CID said; "We, and Laura's family, are very glad that she has been found and we also thank the many local people who have also expressed concern and offered their support.
"Our enquiries into the circumstances of Laura's disappearance continue and we are not in a position to release further information at this time."
