A Sussex man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 53-year-old was stabbed.
The 23-year-old from East Grinstead was today in police custody, along with a 30-year-old woman from Southborough in Kent.
She too has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police were called to Tunbridge Wells railway station in Vale Road, Tunbridge Wells, at around 5.30pm yesterday following a report that a man had been seriously injured.
The victim, from Tunbridge Wells, was flown by air ambulance to a London hospital where he was treated for a stab wound. He is now in a stable condition which is no longer believed to be life threatening.
Officers from Kent Police are still at a cordoned area on the common in Vale Road, Tunbridge Wells, at the junction of London Road and Torrington Road.
