Police are hunting for a “brazen” thief who posed as a customer to steal a £10,000 Rolex watch.


Sussex Police want to speak to this man who was caught on CCTV entering Austens Jewellers in North Street, Chichester on Tuesday.


After speaking to a sales assistant, he took the watch while she went to collect an item from the back of the shop.


PC Jimmy Upton, from Chichester's Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "This was a very brazen theft and we are hoping that someone will recognise the suspect from the photographs we have released.”


Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting serial 0909 of July 24.

I bought the watch of him in a pub he said it was worth £10-000, when I told him it was a fake he gave it me for a fiver.
