Long-standing Brighton record store closes today
11:29am Sunday 29th July 2012 in News
A music store that has been in Brighton for nearly 50 years will close today.
Rounder Records in Brighton Square will close its doors for the final time at 6pm after announcing earlier this month that it could no longer carry on.
The store's owners said their business had been decimated by downloads, VAT avoidance by the big online retailers, a double dip recession, and the decline of the high street.
The store is looking to sell off all its stock before it closes and has a sale on with 40% off all DVDs, 30% off all CDs, and 20% off all vinyl.
Any customers who bought tickets with the store are being asked to try and collect them before the store closes.
