Caricaturist captures fun side of Brighton and Hove mayor
3:20pm Wednesday 1st August 2012 in News By Emily Walker, Chief Reporter
Not many people would be prepared to poke fun at a city leader. But caricaturist Susan Harrison captured all of Brighton and Hove mayor Bill Randall ’s most identifying characteristics.
Coun Randall was one of the artist’s first subjects to lay their flaws bare during her exhibition at the Fishing Quarter.
The renowned artist’s beach collection includes dozens of graphic nude portraits but she preserved the mayor’s dignity by sketching him in his chains.
The exhibition is open daily, 11am to 7pm, until August 21.
