A host of Sussex Olympians are set for action today as part of Super Saturday.

Today marks one of the busiest days in the Olympic schedule, with 25 titles to be won.

And Sussex will have some of its finest on display.

Shooter Charlotte Kerwood will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of gold winner Peter Wilson when she begins qualification in the women's trap.

Qualification heats begin at 9am at the Royal Artillery Barracks.

Mark Hawkins and Sebastian Prieto will be representing Team GB in handball as they take on Tunisia at 9.30am in the preliminaries of group A.

The team will be hoping to register their first win in the Games when they play at the Copperbox this morning.

Team GB's men's water polo are also looking for their first win in the Games when they take on Hungary at the Water Polo Arena at about 6.20pm today.

Sussex's Jack Waller will be among the men hoping to give the crowd something to cheer about.

Ashleigh Ball will be on the other side of the coin, hoping to make sure the women's hockey team maintains its 100% record as they take on China at 4pm at the Riverbank Arena.

Having secured three wins so far, the women's team are in the driving seat to get through group A.

Away from Sussex, there are some big medal hopes for Team GB.

Jessica Ennis was the overnight leader going into the final events of the heptathlon today, while Helen Jenkins is a world champion in triathlon.

Team GB is also looking for another gold in the velodrome as the women's team pursuit tries to emulate the world-record smashing gold of their male equivalents.
