Elderly woman saved from early morning kitchen fire

An elderly woman had to be rescued from her home after a kitchen fire in the early hours of this morning (August 9).
Fire crews were called to the property on The Strand in Goring at 2.36am after a neighbour spotted smoke coming through the letterbox.
Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, went into the building and guided her to safety.
She received medical attention at the scene but was not required to go to hospital.
