Bob Hoskins to sell his Sussex home
8:00am Saturday 11th August 2012 in News By Anna Roberts , Crime reporter
It's good to talk.
And now people can talk, sleep and shower in film star Bob Hoskins' Sussex home. The 69-year-old's three-bed home in Oast Park Farm, Chiddingly, near Lewes, is on the market for £895,000.
It is being sold by estate agents Strutt and Parker.
Yesterday a spokeswoman from Strutt and Parker refused to confirm the actor, famous for his role in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, owned Oast Park Farm.
She said she could not breach seller confidentiality.
But Land Registry records obtained by The Argus show the property is owned by “Robert William Hoskins, actor, and Linda Hoskins”. This is Hoskins' full name, although he is obviously affectionately known as Bob.
The news comes just days after the Mona Lisa, The Long Good Friday and Hook actor announced he was retiring from acting after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. His agent said: “Bob is now looking forward to his retirement to his family.”
Yesterday Hoskins' agent said she was not aware he was selling and she did not want to bother him.
It is believed Hoskins bought the house, which features a separate cottage, in 1990.
The property is described on the website Right Move as having “attractive brick, tile hung and white washed elevations under a mainly pitched clay tile roof”.
The property is not far from the A22. Berwick train station is 4.8m away and Uckfield train station is 6.4m away.
