Police are seeking a man who they want to interview in relation to an attack on a 38-year-old at a Peacehaven house on Saturday (August 11).
Officers are appealing for help in finding 21-year-old Piers Jake Turner after reports that he was also attacked and bleeding heavily.
Police and ambulance were called to the property in Haven Way at around 8.20pm.
The 38-year-old victim remains in the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious but none life threatening injuries.
Detective Sergeant Lloyd Lewis from East Sussex Adult Protection Team said: "We are keen to hear from Piers or anyone who knows his whereabouts. Please call 101 quoting serial 1887 of 11/8 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
