Pensioner dies after Pulborough lorry accident

A pensioner was killed after being hit by a lorry.
The woman, believed to be in 70s, died after being hit by the heavy goods vehicle at the junction of Lower Street and the A29 in Pulborough just before 7.30am this morning.
She was treated by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police officers have closed the A29 between Whiteways roundabout, north of Arundel, and Pulborough.
Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact us via 101 quoting Operation Melrose.
