Nominate your Sussex heroes for Argus Achievement Awards

Argus Achievement Awards 2012 Argus Achievement Awards 2012

Since the launch of this year’s Argus Achievement Awards in July, you have been sending us inspirational tales of the people of Sussex making a difference.

That is why we have decided to extend this year’s deadline to make sure nobody misses out on the recognition they deserve.

There are 20 categories to choose from and we want as many nominations as possible for all of them.

This is your chance to highlight the hard work done by someone or a group or organisation and offer them the chance to attend a gala ceremony in October.

It could be a carer, like last year’s winner of Carer of the Year David Edwards .

He has cared for his mother Mandy Edwards ever since she suffered a life-changing spinal injury four years ago.

As well as this he was able to revise and take his GCSEs, getting As and Bs.

His inspirational story is just one of many in Sussex but so many people in the county carry on selflessly without getting the praise they deserve.

The Argus Achievement Awards aim to rectify this and make sure those whose only thought is for others are given the spotlight.

Ray Freeman was another who tirelessly worked for others while working to improve conditions on the Bristol Estate. He was awarded the Beyond the Call of Duty award for the many projects he has been behind to help boost the local community.

If you know someone like Ray who deserves to be honoured then you now have more time to get in touch.

We have extended the deadline for nominations to Friday September 7.

To nominate someone for any of the 20 categories shown, simply complete and post the nomination form below.

If you have access to the internet, you can visit theargus.co.uk/yourargus/argusachievementawards and use the online form.
