Burglars stole wallet and handbag while owners slept just metres away

Police are investigating after burglars stole a wallet and handbag from a property while the owners were asleep upstairs.
The incident at a house in Manor Way, Uckfield, took place between 11.30pm on August 30 and 5.50am on August 31.
The suspect or suspects are believed to have entered through an unlocked door.
Wealden PCSO Jamie Harwood, said: "This type of burglary is particularly upsetting for the victims and we continue to urge homeowners to lock all doors and windows at night or when leaving the property even for a short period.
"This was more than likely an opportunist thief who found an unlocked door. You can always call your local officers who will pop round to offer crime prevention advice. Their details can be found by going to www.sussex.police.uk."
