Woman taken to hospital following cottage fire

A woman was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation after a cottage fire yesterday evening (August 31).
Crews were called to Baldings Cottages, Green Road, Wivelsfield, at 7.38pm on Friday following reports of a ground floor fire.
Four engines helped bring the living room blaze under control and all persons were accounted for.
Crews left the scene shortly before 9.30pm with one woman being taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
