Man arrested in St Leonards for attempted murder of woman
A 26-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of a 31-year-old woman.
Jason McLauchlan, of Magdalen Road, St. Leonards, was arrested after police were called to reports a woman had been stabbed in the chest and arms on Thursday, August 30 at about 10.30pm.
She was treated at the scene in Magdalen Road by paramedics for potentially life threatening injuries before being then taken to the Conquest Hospital where her condition is now stable.
Mr McLauchlan was arrested at the scene.
He appeared before Hastings Magistrates' Court on Saturday, September 1 and has been remanded back into custody to await a trial date.
