Woman injured by 30ft fall from Brighton's Palace Pier

A woman was injured after falling from the Palace Pier in Brighton.

The woman was rescued by a lifeboat crew after falling more than 30ft from the pier just before 11.45am yesterday.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service took the woman, who was conscious and breathing following the incident, to the Royal Sussex County Hospital , Brighton for further treatment.

It is understood she suffered minor injuries.

This poor woman - to go through that awful, horrifying experience and then, to top it all, fall off the pier as well. Terrible.

She was very unlucky as she never hurt herself on the other two 'falls' she made.

It would be nice to have background detail to this story, way too many unanswered questions as it stands - for instance is the pier unsafe and her fall was not actually her fault ?
