Beard and Moustache Championships come to Brighton

More than 100 hairy challengers will compete for glory in the British Beard and Moustache Championships.

The furry-faced entrants will battle it out in three main categories as they try to claim the crown.

The event will be held at the Corn Exchange in Church Street, Brighton, on Saturday,September 15 and entrants have until the end of the week to register.

More than three-quarters of spectator tickets have also been sold with organisers expecting a sell-out crowd of more than 350.

A parade of entrants will start at 12.30pm from New Road with judging from 2pm and award-winners announced at 6.30pm.

All of the proceeds from the event are going to charity and a lot of people work extremely hard for several months prior to the event to make it a fun and entertaining day for everyone who attends - come along and see, if you are man enough to grow a beard!
