Robbers tie up Worthing woman
3:31pm Friday 7th September 2012 in News By Ben Parsons, Crime Reporter
Three masked men dragged a woman from her bed and demanded money in a raid in Worthing.
The robbers attacked the 61-year-old at Woodland Stables, Titnore Lane, at about 9.30pm on Wednesday.
They demanded cash for about ten minutes before leaving.
Neighbours raised the alarm and came to her aid.
Detective Constable Andy Hobden, of West Sussex CID, said: "This was a harrowing ordeal for the victim to go through, she was alone in her home and subjected to such a scary incident.
"Anything of any value has now been removed from the property. Someone will know who has done this and they urge them to come forward."
Anyone with any information or who saw anything suspicious is asked to call Sussex Police on 101, quoting serial 1767 of September 5.
