Worthing singer with the X Factor

Rocker Eddy String, from Worthing, managed to impress the judges at the latest X Factor auditions last night.

Eddy, real name Edward Wilkinson, performed the Strokes’ Last Night for the panel – Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and guest judge Leona Lewis – on stage at London’s huge O2 Arena.

On stage, Gary told Eddy: “You seem at home up there.”

“I feel at home,” Eddy admitted.

“I’ve never been on stage before but I feel like I’ve found my place.”

Gary replied: “Are you auditioning as a singer today or a comedian?”

To which Eddy quipped: “As a singer, it's the premise of the show.”

The audience applauded as Eddy jumped on top of the judges’ desk and sang to Leona.

Gary Barlow said: “The personality thing is on the edge of being annoying, just tone it back a bit… but I thought it was very good.”

Eddy got four ‘yes’s and was sent through to boot camp.

He's just been put through for car crash entertainment value like that idiot from Woodingdean last year who couldn't sing either.
Might make it to the stage after the next one but will then be booted out when they realise he can't sing. Would have been booted the other night if he had stayed on the stage to deliver whatever it was he was trying to do. So predictable.

He just needs to act like a tool, implode and then say sorry to all-and-sundry and he'll get more coverage and air-time than any (non)talent show could give him.

Just like the trashy britney spears wannabee he was let through by the Producers to make the show a little contraversial.Like last year with the yob from Brighton who was told by Robbie Williams not to change and took it to the extreme and wore the same clothes for about 3months.

Bit harsh all of the above, why don't we wait for the Master 'Am-boo-boy' to pass his kind honest judgement before we all comment.....
