A singer’s self-proclaimed biggest fan couldn’t believe her luck when she won a lock of his hair.

Nicole Ensier was jumping for joy after finding out she won the competition involving former X-Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza.

Frankie, who lives in Woodingdean, Brighton, went to meet the 15-year-old, of Cherry Place in Bolnore, Haywards Heath, at her home as part of the prize.

All proceeds went to a foundation set up in the memory of Connor Saunders, Frankie’s best friend, who died in April.

Courtney Saunders, Connor’s sister who is helping run the charity, said: “I’d like to say a massive thank you to Frankie and his hairdresser Jamie Stevens for coming up with the idea, and, of course, all of Frankie’s loving fans that entered.

“We are so eternally grateful. People’s kindness and generosity blows us away and we know what is being done is because of the person Connor was.”

You mean reporting on someone raising money for a charity? Good on Frankie, Connor was his best friend and he is in a good position to raise money for the charity. Whatever you think of him, he has turned his life around and is doing something worthwhile.

So supporting a charity is not doing something worthwhile?

Raising money for charity is fine if you haven't got a job and you've nothing else to do.This talentless twit had his chance,he drank it!

Wow you've got a nerve calling me unpleasant.

I don't think all that much of Frankie Cocozza but he's done this to raise money for his best friend who got murdered. This has clearly gone right over your head though.

What a thoroughly unpleasant person you are.

The article says "a Haywards Heath home," as if it is an institution. What sort of home, Argus? Mental, disabled, old people's? Please clarify.

I think they mean home as in, you know, a house.

Don't be so pernickety.

Poor choice of word in a headline, then.
