Seaford man charged over hammer attack

A community family worker has been charged with the attempted murder of a 33-year-old woman.
Robert Beck, 58, of Dane Road, Seaford was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday September 11 after police and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to his home.
A woman was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital with an injury to the back of her head caused by a
hammer.
She has since been treated and discharged.
Beck appeared before Brighton Magistrates' Court today and has been remanded back into custody until September 28.
