Police seek witness to alleged Brighton supermarket rape

Police want to speak to a witness who alerted them to an alleged rape in a supermarket car park.


Sussex Police detectives are keen to speak to a man who complained about two people having sex in Morrisons car park, off Dorset Street, in Brighton at 8.30pm on Saturday as Pride celebrations went on nearby.


Following the man’s tip-off, officers found a 14-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy together and the male teen from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of rape and bailed until October 28.
