A man has pleaded guilty to breaking into one home and attempting to break into another in Bognor in July and August.
Tomasz Lebiedziewicz, unemployed from Durlston Drive, Bognor was arrested on September 10 and charged with burglary.
The 34-year-old admitted attempting to breaking into a flat on North Street on July 16 and breaking into a property on Stoneage Close on August 24.
He pleaded guilty at Worthing Magistrates on Tuesday and will be sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on October 12.
Detective Sergeant Kevin Scullion said: "We are very pleased Lebiedziewicz has been caught and will be brought to justice, but I would urge local residents to be vigilant in securing their homes.
"In particular when away from home make sure that all doors and windows are always locked."
