We've got the moves for Brighton and Hove Albion star

Seagulls supporters have been showing off their moves to help their star striker find a goal celebration.

Albion ace Craig Mackail-Smith was at a loss about how to celebrate his wonder strike against Burnley earlier this month.

Now The Argus has teamed up with Juice 107.2FM to help the Scotland striker out.

The forward has already been flooded with suggestions from fans after he appealed for their help on Twitter two days after the Burnley match.

Mackail-Smith will hopefully use the best suggestion to celebrate scoring another stunner against Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow night.

We spoke to Albion supporters in Brighton city centre yesterday (September 13) and challenged them to show off their suggestions.

Staff at Toni & Guy hairdressers said the shaggy-haired striker should celebrate by taking an imaginary pair of scissors to his famous flowing locks.

Just up the road, Jack Pearce, 20, from Brighton, said CMS should pretend to wash his hair at the moment of triumph “because he’s worth it”.

Student Rijwan Ahmed, 27, said the striker should pay homage to legendary striker Dennis Bergkamp by holding a finger to his mouth to silence opposition fans.

He said: “But instead of one finger, he should use four to show he’s four times better than Bergkamp ever was.”

Sitting outside a cafe, 26-year-old Tiffany Rusling from Brighton said CMS should pay tribute to another city legend – DJ Fatboy Slim .

She said: “He should definitely pretend to play some tunes like Norman Cook. That’s what Brighton is all about.”

On her lunchbreak, Gayle Woolf, 37, from Hove, said Mackail-Smith should copy comedy star Will Ferrell in cult film Anchorman by “unleashing the guns” and kissing his biceps.

German visitors Dustin Werther, 26, and Rebecca Baumeister, 24, suggested he should pull out a pretend pair of binoculars – as if searching for a new celebration.

Beth Webb, 27, and 26-year-old Gemma Andrews said CMS could either pretend to stack shelves in a supermarket or do the England cricket team’s famous “sprinkler dance”.

Beth said: “It’s my birthday on Friday so it would be great if he wanted to give me a present by doing my celebration!”

The competition is called Celebrate My Success (CMS).

We are hoping that Seagulls’ supporters can come up with a celebration for the striker to use during tomorrow’s home match against Sheffield Wednesday.

The winner will also receive a pair of football boots signed by CMS.
