UPDATE: A27 to reopen near Lewes after fears for safety of man on bridge

Police closed the A27 near Lewes amid fears for a man's safety.
The man who was spotted on the footbridge at Juggs Road has been safely brought down to ground level by East Sussex Fire and Rescue and is currently being attended to by paramedics.
Police received a report at 5.15pm that a man had been seen on footbridge at Juggs Road and officers are in contact with him as there are concerns for his welfare.
The road was closed in both directions between the Southerham Roundabout and Kingston Roundabout.
The A27 is due to open shortly and Sussex Police would like to thank drivers for their patience.
