Sign up for Brighton Marathon Mini Mile from Monday

Young runners inspired by the Olympics are invited to sign up for next year's Brighton Marathon Mini Mile Races.

Online entries open on Monday (September 17) and organisers are hoping that 2,500 youngsters will sign up.
 

The races are open to people aged between seven and 17 and cover the last mile of the Brighton Marathon course along the seafront.
 

The aim is for children and teenagers too young to do the marathon itself to get a taste of the atmosphere of the big event.

The race takes place on the day of the Brighton Marathon on April 14 and costs £7.50.
 

This increases to £9.50 in the New Year and there will be a late entry fee of £15 after March 1.
