Man slashed in face with Stanley knife in Brighton street attack

A man has been scarred for life after being slashed in the face with a Stanley knife.

A 20-year-old local man was found lying in a pool of blood close to the Amsterdam bar in Broad Street, Brighton at about 1.30am on Saturday.

The victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 28-year-old Brighton man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been bailed until September 25.

Stay in and watch telly or something.Brighton is too dangerous to go out after dark.
It's pretty dangerous when it's light.
If you stay in and keep your door locked you are unlikely to receive life changing injuries to your facial area.
Madness!!!

Sadly even if the attacker was caught, the chances of a custodial sentence aren't great, it happened to me in 1995, 2 stanley knife scars to the face and neck, the guy was caught, went to court and got 2 year probation order and fined.

Take a risk! You'll find that the world isn't such a dark, dangerous place after all! You could get slashed in Worthing, Eastbourne, Hastings or Crawley as well, especially if you're 20, and and mixing with other people of similar age, full of drink and bravado. If you're older, you learn to avoid certain situations, and can pick up on signs of trouble that you may not have noticed when you were younger.

Perhaps you should learn to read. I'm pretty sure the "question mark" at the end of their sentence means they are asking a question...Not making a statement!

Surely it's time time we had the police back on walking patrol, instead of sitting in cars.

The crime, for most of us, is this violent stuff, not speeding motorists.

Too much of this happens on our streets today and something needs to be done so youngsters can see there is more to life then getting into gangs, drugs and knives! The government need to pull their fingers out and take a serious look at what society is coming too!

yes the government must - how about forcing parents to take responsibility for their little ones.

HOW CAN ANY COMMENTS FROM SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T EVEN LIVE IN THE UK BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE CRIME RATE IN SPAIN IS EVEN HIGHER THAN IN THE UK?
