Two people escape Lindfield house fire

Two people escaped a house fire.
The blaze broke out in The Welkin, Lindfield, near Haywards Heath, at 3.55am today.
A member of the public called 999 after seeing flames and thinking someone was trapped.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "They saw someone on the settee.
“But the people in the property managed to escape.
“It was started accidentally and was put out by 4.25am.”
