House badly damaged in fire

A house has been badly damaged in a fire. There are two casualties. One has been taken to hospital. It is not known how seriously ill they are.

The fire is in Meredith Road, Worthing.

A West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “The fire broke out in Meredith Road, Worthing, at 10.57am.

“Two appliances attended and a further three attended.

“The fire broke out in a two-storey mid terrace home which measuring 6ft by 6ft.

“It has been severely damaged by fire and smoke.”

Very small house indeed!
